Keyworkers

Every child is allocated a key worker who is dedicated to understanding them and helping them learn, develop and have fun.
Key workers are responsible for helping their key children become familiar and comfortable with their surroundings, get the most out of the activities provided, and try new things within a safe environment.

Key workers also meet regularly with parents to discuss children’s progress, and keep a development folder about each of their key children which parents can ask to see at any point.

Inclusion

Playgroup operates an equal opportunities policy and supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those who speak English as an additional language. All staff use Makaton signing throughout sessions and encourage children to learn and use it too.

Children in nappies are welcome, and we are happy to help with potty-training.
